I'm going to the next best place, Chicago!

I'm mildly freaked out because, yes, I might have just completed an Ironman but I'm not exactly marathon ready. Makes no perfect sense at all. The upside is that I'm fit, the downside is that I'm only maybe 13 miles fit with 39 days till race day.
The best part of the deal is that I get to run 26.2 miles with my friend Michael. I know some of you follow her blog. We live pretty far apart but manage to meet up for races every 6 months or so. I'm hoping that her steady pace will see me through to the finish in one piece. She's the voice of reason when we run.
My first training run back after IM Louisville. Too fast and too hot out. I was cooked.
The training plan from here on out is to build up with 4-5 runs a week. One long and the others around 5-8 during the week. I think I'll end up topping out at 18 miles and just coast in on fumes from there. Right now I'm just trying to balance recovery with training. My three best friends right now are healthy eats, healthy drinks and A TON OF SLEEP.
